To achieve a sharply defined eye, sweep the pencil along the inner rim. Alternatively, apply just outside the lash line and using a brush, gently buff outwards for that smokey look.

I like this liner it is extremely soft and goes on easily with a really solid, strong pigment, smudges well too. This does mean that the pencil is used up more quickly than most I have tried but at a tenner this is not a major issue. Just be warned you need a very sharp pencil sharpener to get a good edge.
